I’ve been volunteering at a recovery center in Youngstown for a few months now. We have every race here, multiple religions, political views, beliefs, etc. But none of that matters, there is no hatred or intolerance, none of the hyped up bullshit in the news applies here. Everyone backs each other, supports one another and genuinely cares about the mental and physical well being of everyone else.

Don’t buy into the hatred and intolerance that is being so prominently promoted in the mainstream media.

If you want truth, look to your neighbor, look to your friend, look to them without seeing any color or label, you will see that they are like you. They want good things for their families as well. Give them a warm smile and give a friendly gesture, and you will see that simple effort burn through any negative barriers.

Have faith and stay the course.
